The size of this project follows the logic of the existing neighbouring volumes in order to ensure the fluid visual continuity of the streetscape and a harmonious connection.
The project occupies a place where the building line changes. The architectural proposal seeks to emphasize this particularity: the façade on the street side is structured by 3 plans that form a broken line and accentuate its vertical rhythm. This reading will be all the more marked because the cladding of the façade has been subtly differentiated and will thus capture the light differently.
The ensuing volume has been pierced with openings whose proportions are similar to those of classical buildings. The analysis of the context demonstrates an absence of architecture of ‘projecting terraces’. That is why they are included in the volume and treated as large ‘niches’.
The building within the block consists of large openings that discreetly structure the façade and are designed in such a way as to minimize views onto the neighbouring dwellings.
